Hi there, Jay from Green Side Up and today I’m here with Grant. Grant is responsible for all the carpentry and the fencing from a project management  perspective. Today we’re at a project that we just recently finished; a pressure treated privacy fence board-on-board. What we do when we construct fences is we bore post holes down 48 to 52 inches, using a 12 inch auger. Then we typically use a 6" x 6" pressure treated post, fill the hole up to grade with concrete and then we start our framing. When we frame, unlike some of our competitors, we use screws to keep the framing together. Then we finish it off with some post caps – a nice accent piece. Anyways that’s just a short video on fencing, you can feel free to check out our self-serve fencing calculator at

Thank you!
